Henry Baskin is and has been a leading attorney in Michigan for over 40 years.
As a staunch advocate of family law and a pioneer of family practice legislation,
he has made his mark on the rights and safety of men, women and children across the
state and represents industry leaders and spouses as well as representation of
disadvantaged people.
As a well known entertainment attorney, he has represented performers and media
celebrities ranging from Motown personalities to the major players in Detroit television
and radio. As a television personality in his own right, Henry Baskin has hosted
‘Due Process’ for 20 seasons, making it one of the longest running programs in Michigan
television history. As a tireless philanthropist, Henry Baskin chairs several committees
and is affiliated with a dozen different foundations and charities.
Named as one of the “Ten Most Influential Lawyers in Michigan” by Lawyer’s Weekly,
and listed for 15 consecutive years in Best Lawyers in America, Mr.Baskin has received
numerous distinctions and awards.
Henry Baskin has seen what can happen to children of single parent households without
parental financial support. With a generous gift to Oakland University, he created the
Baskin Family Foundation to provide scholarship assistance to children of single-parent
households in financial need.
The recent recipient of an honorary doctorate from Central Michigan University,
Mr. Baskin spends his spare time teaching, writing extensively on divorce law
as well as giving seminars throughout the community. |
